My work seeks to explore the various spectra of storytelling, from visual motifs, cultural objects, and historical artifacts. I draw from my experiences as a woman of color and a first generation immigrant straddling the lines of two cultures. How do the stories we tell and the stories we’re told work to construct identity, and where does the past fit into this continuum? Printmaking, writing, and installation function as my tools to investigate these questions.
